Known for his attention to detail and easygoing communication style, Dr. Perez specializes in diagnosing and managing ocular disease, as well as contact lenses, cataract surgery co-management, and laser vision correction consultations.
Education & Clinical Training
Dr. Perez received his Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Puerto Rico – Mayaguez Campus, then earned his Doctor of Optometry from the Inter American University of Puerto Rico – School of Optometry.
During his clinical rotations, he trained at renowned centers including Capital Eye Consultants in Fairfax, Virginia, and Bright Vision Center in Cary, North Carolina. He then went on to complete a one-year residency in ocular disease at Aran Eye Associates in Miami, Florida, in affiliation with Nova Southeastern University College of Optometry.
This rigorous training gave him advanced experience in treating glaucoma, macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, and other complex eye conditions.

Outside the Office
Now living in Fort Worth, Dr. Perez enjoys spending his downtime outdoors, catching up with friends, exploring the local food scene, and watching or playing sports of all kinds. His curiosity and love of connection don’t stop at the exam room—which is just one reason patients appreciate him.
