Dr. Mei San Lam, O.D., was born in Fort Worth, TX and raised in Arlington, TX. She attended The University of Texas in Arlington and received a Bachelor of Science in biology. She then attended Nova Southeastern University College of Optometry where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Vision Science and the Doctor of Optometry degree. Dr. Lam completed her internships at the Indian Health Service in Lawton, Oklahoma, where she became comfortable with various ocular pathologies including diabetic, ocular surface disease and glaucoma.
Dr. Lam joined the practice in November 2021. Prior to joining the clinic, Dr. Lam practiced full scope optometry in the DFW area since 2013. She is licensed in therapeutic and glaucoma optometry. She specializes in comprehensive eye examinations with ocular pathology and diabetic disease. She is also an active member in the American Optometric Association and the Texas Optometric Association.
She is happily married to her high school sweet heart, Phong. He is a family physician that practices at the VA Fort Worth outpatient clinic. They have two beautiful young children. They are an active family engaged in school activities, yoga and cycling. When Dr. Lam is not working she enjoys hiking, traveling and spending time with family and friends.
