Refractive Surgery – PRK, LASIK, LASEK, CK: Refractive surgery is quickly becoming a popular alternative to eyeglasses and contacts. Photoreceptive Keratectomy (PRK) and Laser In-Situ Keratomilusis (LASIK) are currently the procedures of choice. Both treatments can correct nearsightedness (myopia), farsightedness (hyperopia), and astigmatism by reshaping or sculpting the cornea using a laser. Conductive Keratoplasty (CK) is a vision procedure for hyperopia. It uses radiofrequency energy instead of a laser to reshape the contour of the eye.
